Old World Culture was conceived as a Trust to promote the arts and thereby expand and enhance the cultural options available in Delhi NCR. The annual Old World Theatre Festival, now in its 14th year, the Prithvi Theatre Festival and Tribute to the Legends- Music Festival are some of the Old World Culture presentations that have enriched the capital’s cultural landscape in the past.

Profits made by Old World Culture through the year are committed to nurturing the performing arts. One such initiative was funding the YouthReach Apprenticeship Programme- an initiative to give children from various NGOs the opportunity to work under renowned artistes.

The annual Old World Theatre Festival is today a landmark in the capital's theatre calendar and between that and stand alone plays Old World Culture has hosted plays by directors from Habib Tanvir, Feroz Abbas Khan, Rahul da Cunha,MS Sathyu, Satyadev Dubey, Neelam Mansingh Chaudhary, Prasanna, Makrand Deshpande, Lillete Dubey, Anahita Uberoi, Raell Padamsee, Kunal Roy Kapur, Manav Kaul,Rajat Kapur, Mahesh Dattani, Anup Trevedi, Nandita Das, Mahmood Farouqui, Danish Husain, Ashvin Gidwani, Quasar Thakore Padamsee, Vikram Kapadia, Saurabh Shukla, Kalki Koechlin, Akarsh Khurana, Rajit Kapur, Deepal Doshi among others.

Not just the directors but the actors who have performed under the Old World Culture aegis is a veritable who's who of Indian theatre comprising among others of Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Faroukh Shaikh, Shernaz Patel and more.
