Recognised as one of the oldest and most prestigious theatre festivals¸ OWTF has been a catalyst that has triggered several new and laudable theatre ventures. – The Hindu

Old World Culture's annual Old World Theatre Festival (OWTF) is aimed at harnessing and advancing the impact of theatre, the vibrant actor's medium, in the heart of the country. An earnest attempt to assist in the amelioration of this ancient art form, the cultural movement is in its fourteenth consecutive year now and has over the years brought to Delhi NCR a robust and rich theatrical fare spanning across critically acclaimed, popular, experimental to premiers.

OWC began its annual Old World Theatre Festival in 2002. Our Festival was supported by Mahindra for the initial years. Gaining an insight into the sincere passion of the theatre community and sensing the need for a wider support base and encouragement, Mahindra then went on to create their own hugely successful and laudable theatre initiative, META. Over the years, we have enjoyed the support of sponsors like Matrix, Religare, American Express, Coca Cola and Hutch. Modern Stage Services, with their commitment to theatre have been our constant partners and supporters for Lights and Sound.

Every year, our diligent Programmes Team curates the cream of the crop from the national and international theatre community and lines up the best plays to be showcased in front of discerning patrons. A galaxy of stars including Anu Menon, Vir Das, Soni Razdan, Nandita Das, Lillete Dubey, Atul Kumar, Deepti Naval, Shekhar Suman and Corinne Jaber have enthralled the audience at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre and Epicentre, Gurgaon with diverse themes, props and characters.

OWC's contribution to reviving and regenerating Theatre has been its most sustained and lauded effort. A dramatic celebration of raw tangibility, poignant anecdotes and majestic yet hard-hitting performances, today the Old World Theatre Festival is recognized as one of the largest theatre festivals in India.
