An Introduction to immersive theatre is a one day workshop where participants will create performance, using their bodies, voices, objects, materials, technology and music. As part of the learning process, participants will collaborate to develop unique experiences. You can be an actor, dancer, singer, a writer, a poet, a storyteller, a fine artist, a mountain climber, a yoga practitioner or a brand marketeer. Immersive Theatre will help you transform the way people experience your work. Participants will also have the opportunity to be part of an Immersive Performance later in the year.

Aruna Ganesh Ram is an immersive performance maker based out of Bangalore. She is the Artistic Director of Visual Respiration. Her work looks at creating multi sensorial environments for the audience to experience - around themes of gender, food and Sustainability. Immersive Theatre blurs boundaries between the audience and the performance, inviting those present in a space to engage with it sensorially. She has a Masters in Theatre Practice from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. Aruna has been in theatre and performance for the last 15 years. Her work has been part of festivals in India, Singapore and London. She is an ATSA (Arts Think South Asia) fellow. She also consults in the space of Gender, Diversity and Inclusion with Interweave Consulting where she heads Innovations in inclusion, an initiative to look at learning through experiential ways
